Getting Started

How do I install Prompt Bravo?

Download the app from Apple Mac App Store. Prompt Bravo is a native macOS application that requires macOS version 13.0 or later. Launch it from your Applications folder.

How do I open Prompt Bravo quickly?

Creating a prompt is simple:

  1. Global keyboard shortcut: Press Command + Option + P to open Prompt Bravo from anywhere on your Mac.
  2. Menu Bar icon. Click the Prompt Bravo icon in your Mac Menu Bar.

Creating and Managing Prompts

How do I create a new prompt?

Creating a prompt is simple:

  1. Click New Prompt or use the keyboard shortcut.
  2. Enter a descriptive title for easy searching.
  3. Write or paste your prompt content.
  4. (Optional) Add variables using square brackets like [name of a company]. Or you can select a piece of text, right click, and then mark it as a variable.
  5. (Optional) Select a category to organize your library.

How do I edit an existing prompt?

Search for the prompt you want to update, make your changes to the title, content, variables, or category. You editing will be auto saved and is updated instantly.

Can I delete a prompt?

Yes. Select the prompt and click the delete button. Or you can right click on a prompt in the prompt list, and then click "Delete". Deleted prompts cannot be recovered, so make sure you no longer need them before deleting.

Smart Variables in Prompt

What are smart variables?

You may reuse certain useful prompt repeatedly by editing specific components to fit in the different scenarios.

Smart variables let you create flexible prompt templates. Use square brackets to mark parts that change, like [name of a company] or [a specific industry].

When you use that prompt template, Prompt Bravo asks you to fill in these variable values, making your prompts reusable.

How do I add variables to a prompt?

  1. Manually wrap any changing part in a prompt with square brackets. For example: "Generate a landing page for [name of a product] targeting [a type of targeted audience]".
  2. Select a piece of text, right click, and then click on "Mark as Variable" in the menu.


Prompt Bravo will detect the variables automatically.

Categories and Organization

How do I organize my prompts?

Create custom categories that match your workflow, such as Writing, Marketing, Product, or Research.
Assign each prompt to the most relevant category.
You can filter by category to quickly find the prompts you need.

Can I rename or delete categories?

Yes. Right-click a category to rename or delete it. If you delete a category, the prompts inside will not be deleted but will be moved to an uncategorized section.

Using Prompts

How do I copy a prompt?

Click on any prompt to select it, then click the copy button or press Enter. The prompt is copied to your clipboard. If the prompt has variables, you will be asked to fill them in first.

Where do I paste my prompts?

After copying a prompt, paste it into any AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any text field. The prompt is ready to use immediately.

Data and Privacy

Where is my data stored?

All your prompts, categories, and settings are securely stored.

Can I export my prompts?

We plan to provide this feature in the future.

Pricing and Versions

Is Prompt Bravo free?

Prompt Bravo offers a free "Basic Plan`" with core features. The Pro version unlocks up to 1,000 prompts, priority support, and more premium features coming soon in the future. More details in the Pricing Page.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

In the Prompt Bravo Mac App, you man use Apple In-App Purchase to upgrade to the Pro Plan. All purchases are processed securely.

Troubleshooting

The app won't open. What should I do?

Make sure you are running macOS v13.0 or later. If the app is blocked, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy and allow Prompt Bravo to run. Restart your Mac if the issue persists.

The keyboard shortcut doesn't work. How do I fix it?

Check MacBook's System Preferences → Keyboard → Shortcuts to ensure no other app is using the same shortcut. You can also change the shortcut in Prompt Bravo's Setting Page.
